WHAT'S NEW?

We are excited with all the new happenings at the ranch!

  • Our barn construction was finished in March by Clearly Buildings.  This has been a lifelong dream to own my own barn! Sand was brought in, electric is being added this week by live wire electric, these guys are stellar!  In the ensuing months, we will be adding some lighting, fans/heat, sound system,  stalls, office/classroom, a glorious two story tack room, wash stall, and some fencing for a paddack on exterior.

  • We finished one tiny home complete with second floor, kitchenette, toilette, and wood burning stove. Big thank you to Wild River Construction and Huft Chimney services! The cabin  is solar operated . We finished the other with drywall, insulation, and flooring. We will be finalizing the rest over the next couple of months.

  • We have two new faces on the ranch- Esme and Arrow both are 10-month-old baby Gypsy Vanners. This was another dream of mine. With their gentle presence and intuitive nature, gypsy vanners make incredible partners in gestalt work, helping clients connect deeply and create lasting change. We will be starting our own breeding program here for Remember This Ranch Gypsy Vanners. Arrow's line comes from the famous King of the Forest Gypsies breedline, Arrow's brother, Cici Prince of the Forest Gypsies was named top ten performance horse in the nation. Esme was my first ever imported horse! She came from Alberta, Canada and her breedline comes from the esteemed Prince of TR originating in the Netherlands. So, my best friend and ranch assistant, Andrea and I took a road trip and made it through the importation process, which entailed obtaining a broker, lots of paperwork, obtaining an importation license, CA inspection, and USDA inspection.

  • We will be adding some fencing and shelter for the animals in order to operate more safely and efficiently in terms of rotation.

  • Gravel Gravel Gravel for days!!! We have had to bring in loads of gravel and screenings from our friends over at GK construction because our soil here in Cowley is proving quite difficult. They call it the Cowley Gumbo for a reason! So not only do we have to add it around the barn and the corrals but we will also do some geotextile. We have also worked very hard at constructing the pond to better serve us and the animals, so we will be adding more gravel to the base to eliminate the muck.

  • We've said goodbye to a few furry family members and expecting another baby- Jelly Roll our bull calf will now be one of the Buffalo Bluff RV Park Mascot, Cash will now be the man of the pasture over in Cody, Wyoming! Jenna, our Silver Scottish Highland is due in April for her first Calf. This calf could be any color!!! We're excited to see what we get!

  • Newt, our 2 year old gelding has finished Kindergarten!! Isabella, our 12 year old daughter has been working to train him. This is her first horse to be trained from yearling and up. She has done a stellar job in the mentorship of her mom and Mitch Shelhammer, Foundation Equine Services, Geybull, Wyoming. Now Lily and Addelyn, her triplet sisters, will be training the other two babies.

  • Horse Shows, Princess, Competitions, and Barrel Racing Circuits start this month! You will find our Barrel Racing Triplets competing in the Cody Night Rodeo, Big Horn Rodeo Circuit, and local/regional barrel competitions.
