What is Gestalt?
Gestalt is German for “shape” or “form”, an organized, unified whole that is greater than the sum of its individual parts. Often referred to “flowing into completion,” in my practice, we focus on the whole person- encouraging self-awareness, personal responsibility, and the power of being fully present in the moment.
What is the Gestalt Horsemanship Academy Experience?
Our academy takes horsemanship and holistic health a step further, and beyond the saddle. We bridge the gap between technical skill and emotional connection. Our students don’t just learn to ride, they learn to relate. We offer a holistic program that nurtures the horse/human relationship through communication, behavior, and emotional intelligence. Each session includes dedicated time for reflection, check in, and holistic discussion. This experience has proven beneficial for all and is especially impactful in helping find confidence and processing of emotions and feelings in a way that naturally happens when walking through this experience while partnering with horses.
Alongside horse care and biology, we weave in essential life principles:

Empowerment- Setting boundaries, defining and actioning goals, and building confidence.
Through the gift of horses and nature, we help students reject labels, embrace their differences, and find their own unique voice.
While there will be days when we focus on basic horsemanship and riding, specifically: There will be time to focus on each person in their present moment, doing a check-in and time of discussion.
You will learn about the horse/human relationship through a focus on communication and behavior, history of the horse and stories of famous horses, Equine health and Biology, Human Health and Biology, Equine and Human self-care, and Equine breeding and genetics.
Academy Age Groups and Descriptions
Spirit Horse | Youth (Ages 6-9): Mondays
The spirit horse journey is all about wonder and foundational connection. At this age, we focus on the “magic” of the horse-human bond to help children build a sense of safety, presence, and joy.
Focus: Horsemanship and basic riding, emotional vocabulary, and building “inner quiet” through nature, confidence and empowerment through their natural abilities and learned skill set.
Key Growth: Confidence in trying new things and learning the importance of gentle communication. You are enough. Appreciation for everyday things.
Wind Horse | Youth (Ages 10-12): Tuesdays
The Wind Horse Journey focuses on movement and momentum, looking at the comparison of inward vs outward. As children enter their pre-teen years, we use the horse’s energy to teach them about their own personal power and how to navigate the world within intention.
Focus: Horsemanship and basic riding, Equine behavior, biology, and grounding techniques to manage stress
Key Growth: Horsemanship and basic riding, developing healthy boundaries, practicing empathy and humility, defining boundaries, and understanding the “unified whole” of their environment.
Fire Horse | Youth (Ages 13-17): Thursdays
The Fire Horse Journey is designed for transformation and leadership. We move into deeper Gestalt Principles, helping teens navigate these critical years where naturally, they begin to become more inward. We help them to also look outward, noticing the “good” in every situation, and finding their authentic voice through the mirror of the horse.
Focus: Horsemanship and basic riding, Advanced equine genetics/health, goal setting with a plan, re-defining boundaries, and rejecting self-limiting and societal labels.
Key Growth- Self-regulation, leadership skills, knowing oneself, and the empowerment that comes from true horse-human partnership.

ALL SESSIONS ARE TWO HOURS!!!
ALL GROUPS ARE FROM 4PM-6PM ON DESIGNATED DAY
If you cannot attend the group sessions, individual sessions may be scheduled.
Academy Tuition:
$90 per 2-hour session, 3-month semester (10 sessions): Payments monthly or per semester.
April 13th-30th- 3 two-hour sessions, $270/month
May-11th-28th- 3 two-hour sessions, $270/month
June-1st-30th- 4 two-hour sessions, $360/month
Three-month Semester: $900
One-month non-refundable deposit due upon registration
*$45.00 discount for semester payment in full, upon registration (equal to one hour free $855 vs $900)
Individual Academy Lessons: 1.5 hours $65
Homeschool Academy: Free Range Kids (3rd Friday of every month) 11am-2pm - $75
The best of the Gestalt Horsemanship Academy concepts, like mindful horse connection and personal growth that fits into a monthly program for homeschoolers, with the addition of guest speakers. This class will go thru the curriculum at a slower pace due to the monthly frequency.
